The start of this term for maths we have been learning about measuring and how to measure thing and what type of measurement we need to make to measure things easier. measurement are really important you you probably use them more than you realise for example when you measure you height. or when you need to move some thing big and resume where your going to put it and see if there is enough room for it.

yesterday at school we did world of maths we collaborated and we let evrey one have a turn my favorite activity was the challenge were me and my team mates hat to make a giant square out of try angles we did not succeed but we were close to it. ether way it was my favorite challenge it was the most challenging maths quest i hope we some one else succeeded since we did not do it.

In maths my group made a DLO to show the best strategy to use for the question 21 x 15 =.___

 We worked as a group and managed to answer this question by skip counting, adding and using place value.

E-ako Challenge

Today I completed this e-ako challenge. It helped me to think about making groups of tens and ones. The questions were a little bit hard because they try and trick you so I learnt I have to read the questions carefully.

Maths Strategy DLO.

For maths we had to make a DLO about a strategy we used in maths. My strategy was 16 - 7. First I subtracted 6 from 16 and that = 10. Then I subtracted the left over number from the ten which is 1. The last thing I did was takeaway 1 from the 10 and that equals 9. Which means 16 - 7 = 9.
