summarising

Today AJ and i have completed our summarising DLO for reading. The book we are reading is called rocket shoes. Aj and i find the book very interesting and will read more of it.

tamiki over drive

this afternoon we went onto the tamaki over drive it is a site were you can borrow books and read them on your computer the story i chose was mall it is about two girls that work in shops at the mall then something terrible happens in the mall. I cant wait to read more of this story. this site is really good because i can read books that most of the time i cant find.

Kate Sheppard Sketch note

The other day we made a sketch note of Kate Shepard there is a lot about Kate Sheppard in this sketch note i found it quite interesting what we found i hope you do to there was alot of sites with a hole information we put as much info as we could on the DLO.

Kate Sheppard

Kate Sheppard was the leader of the suffrage movement so we made a DLO about her we had to find 4 things about her who shew was what did she do why she is famous and personalty quality's it was fun looking at the web sites we found about her sometimes we put what we already knew in there. 

Women's suffrage movement

In reading we have been looking at the women's suffrage movement in New Zealand which was led by Kate Sheppard over 100 years ago. Our task was to write a 25 word summary about what the suffrage movement was about. To finish this task my group and I had to work collaboratively, talk with each other and ask questions. We learnt that Kate Sheppard and the rest of the women that were apart of the suffrage movement had a huge impact on the way New Zealand is today.

Reading

Today at school we did reading where we made a google slides then there were little boxes on one of the slides and there was "how do we get over seas?" There was today, 30 years ago and 100 years ago. We where not allowed to google what we need to know we put on our prior knowledge. Our prior knowledge is what we already know. It was fun doing it we all worked together to put on ideas and maybe teach each others because of what we say other people might not know.

today at school for reading we recorded the info we have been gathering for the last few weeks we did record our voices on a web site called vocaroo we have been researching about pigeons and if they are pests or if they are special i think they are special and pests read through these slides to ind out more
