  1. Kia ora Lyndon,

I really enjoyed reading about the Godwit migration. I had never heard of this particular species of bird before and I really enjoyed learning all about it from your blog. Thanks for sharing your learning with us!

Speaking of learning, I would love to invite you to continue your learning over the summer holiday period. We have a cool blogging programme called a 'Summer Learning Journey' that has 60 activities related to the idea of 'Travel and Adventure.'

To join the programme you simply have to hop onto the Summer Learning Journey website (https://sites.google.com/site/summerlearningjourney/welcome), click on the 'Weekly Activities' tab, choose an activity and post your answer on your blog.

Dan, a teacher from Manurewa, and I will read your blogs and post comments. Many of your friends and classmates from PBS will also read your blog posts. We'd love to learn from you and spend the next month blogging back and forth. Blogging will help you to maintain your reading and writing skills and it will also earn you a certificate and a badge for your blog site.

Every time that you post a blog you will also earn points. I'll add up the points and, at the end of the summer, I'll hand out prizes to the top 3 bloggers in each school. It could be you!

I hope that you'll consider blogging with us this year. The Summer Learning Journey programme is open from now until Friday 27 January 2017. There is plenty of time to join!!

Hope to see you online this month :)

    Cheers, Rachel
